According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Barcelona made an offer to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the summer transfer window.
The Arsenal forward recently signed a brand new contract to keep him at the Emirates, with the man himself confirming that he wants to try and become a legend in North London.
Still, you’d have to imagine that Barca may still fancy their chances if Arsenal aren’t able to put together the kind of successful operation under Mikel Arteta that many have been hoping for.
Inter Milan were also believed to be in the mix prior to Aubameyang deciding that he wants to remain at Arsenal, with Edu being instrumental in persuading him to stay.
Barcelona still appear set to make a handful of big acquisitions during the summer window, but whether or not any will be as important as Auba would’ve been remains to be seen for the Spanish giants.
