Blackjack Money Management: Place Your Bets Responsibly

So, you want to master the game of Blackjack? Once you have learned the game basics and the proper strategy you should apply, you think you are ready to start playing? Well, you should not start playing until you learn how to manage your funds. It is as important as learning all about the game. Only by handling your money efficiently, you can be successful at any casino game, and Blackjack is no exception. Stay with us as we bring you an ultimate guide to Blackjack bankroll management.

How Big Your Bankroll Should Be?

The first question you should ask yourself is how much money you will set aside as a bankroll you will use to play Blackjack. Obviously, it depends on how much money you have in your account and how large your monthly expenses are. However, we can help you do the math. First of all, you need to know the amount you can afford to lose, as no matter how good you are at Blackjack, there is still an element of luck. So, hope for the best plan for the worst.

Another factor you should consider is the minimum stake supported by the Blackjack table you want to join. Your bankroll should be at least 50x the minimum stake value. Yet, if this is too much for you, go for 20x the amount. The most important thing is to be patient and not risk more than you can afford. If you can set aside 10% of your salary and use it as a Blackjack bankroll, it will do just fine, but the amount can be smaller as well.

How to Set Your Bet Value?

Now, onto the stake value. It should reflect how much you have in your bankroll and how many rounds you can play with this money. What you must not do is risk the entire amount in a single take as this is quite risky. A better option is to keep your stakes low and increase them once you have built a substantial bankroll. To do so, you must set your win and loss limits and do not exceed them at any cost. So, if you reach your loss limit, you should consider it a red flag that you should quit playing until you collect money for the next bankroll.

Also, you should be cautious with winning streaks. They may be tempting as once you see your bankroll increases, you may believe that it will go on forever. This is not the case, though, and you may end up losing what you have won while on a winning streak. That’s why you should stop playing the game as soon as you reach this limit.

Keep limits in mind when setting your stake. Although some say that progressive betting systems can help you bring back your lost funds, we don’t support their opinion. As a matter of fact, we suggest not using them at all as they can drain your bankroll in the long run. A rule of thumb would be to adjust your stake so that you can play at least 50 or 100 rounds with your bankroll.

Blackjack Money Management Tips & Tricks

Now that you know how to set your bankroll and your stake, let’s learn some tips and tricks that can enhance your overall gaming experience.

  • Find Blackjack tables supporting low stakes: This especially applies if you are new to Blackjack. No matter how good you think you are, start at lower stakes and raise them gradually.
  • Know the strategy: Blackjack offers options like doubling down where you can increase your stake and double your winning chances. However, you should do it only when the strategy tells you so.
  • Claim online casino bonuses wisely: Online casinos offer different incentives all the time, and not all of them are suitable for Blackjack players. That’s why you should study the terms and conditions and see whether they are suitable for you or not.
  • Join Blackjack tournaments: They can be an excellent option for Blackjack enthusiasts who are confident about their skills. The prize pools they offer are massive, and sometimes, you can join these tournaments without buy-ins, which is the best deal you can have.
  • Don’t play side bets: At least, you should not play all the time. They can suck the funds out of your bankroll without giving you anything in return. All Blackjack side bets come with high house margins, so think twice whether they are worth risking the money you can wager on the main bet and actually win.

Closing Thoughts

Now, you are ready to start playing Blackjack. You see, Blackjack is all about skills and knowing how much you will wager and how to place your bets is the skill that can make all the difference. Take care about your funds, apply the strategy, and you can become a successful Blackjack player! Good luck!

Barcelona want £87m for Coutinho

According to a recent report from Mundo Deprotivo, Barcelona will not agree to the sale of Philippe Coutinho for anything less than £87 million. The Brazilian is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, but neither of the two sides are said to be interested in keeping him on the books.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for the former Liverpool star in recent weeks, but the belief is that it’s anyone’s ball game at this point in proceedings.

The fee, which translates to roughly €100 million, is likely being added due to just how much Barca paid for him in the first place. It may seem excessive but when Coutinho is able to play to his full potential, there’s still an argument to be made that he’s one of the best players in world football.

Of course, we first have to wait and see how things transpire with the actual transfer window.

Fernandinho open to Man City extension

During a recent interview with Sky Sports, Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho confirmed that he would be open to holding talks with the club over a possible contract extension at the Etihad. He already signed a one-year extension back in January, but is already considering another deal.

“First of all, I just want to get back to work and play again. I extended my contract a couple of months ago and I am so happy, but after that, we’ll see,” Fernandinho said.

“If we have another conversation about another contract in the future, I would be happy. But if not, I would be happy as well because I know what I have done for this club and what this club has done for me, how they have helped me.”

While he may have had a few less than stellar moments, Fernandinho is certainly a player City will want to keep on the books.

Nabil Fekir attracts attention from England and Italy

Not so long ago, Nabil Fekir was just inches away from joining Liverpool. But the soon-to-be Premier League champions decided not to sign the Frenchman when there was an issue found around his knee problems and in the end he stayed at Lyon. Afterwards, Fekir made a somewhat unexpected move, changing France for Spain, when he joined Real Betis. But now he might be coming to England after all.

According to Marca, Premier League side Arsenal are interested in his services, to add him to Mikel Arteta’s squad, but they are not the only interested club. Also, Marca are pointing out that AC Milan will be their rivals in getting Fekir to sign the deal. Both clubs are apparently ready to submit offers when the transfer market reopens.

The report also suggests Fekir would be more inclined to stay at the Benito Villamarin Stadium for at least one more year.

AC Milan ready to keep Donnarumma

AC Milan will hope that this coming summer will be an eventful one. They are still trying to rebuild their team and prepare it for reaching their targets and finally returning the club to the Champions League football. For that to happen, so many other things will have to fall in the right place, including the new recruitments.

However, at San Siro will want to have a really uneventful summer from the point of their big name players in the squad. That mostly goes down to keeping Gianluigi Donnarumma. In fact, Milan are prepare to offer the goalkeeper a contract extension. According to Calciomercato, the Italian shot-stopper is due to become a free agent in 2021. That means this summer he will be entering his final year of the contract and Milan want to give him a 12-month long extension.

That way they could keep their upper hand and maybe even sell Donnarumma for a much bigger fee, but for that to happen, the goalkeeper would probably have to accept a drastic pay cut.

Borussia Dortmund agreed Sancho sale?

According to a recent report from SportBild, Borussia Dortmund verbally agreed to the sale of superstar Jadon Sancho way back in 2018 – with the condition being that they received a suitable offer in 2020.

The youngster has been heavily linked with a move to both Chelsea and Manchester United over the course of the last few months, but with his contract being set to last until 2022, the English sides will have to pay quite the fee in order to bring him over to the Premier League.

There is believed to be no current release clause in the contract of Sancho, which should ensure some intriguing negotiations, but you have to wonder whether or not Dortmund will stick to their word. There’s clearly a lot of weight behind the idea of him returning to English football, but both parties will want to ensure it’s the right kind of deal that is being put forward.

Real Madrid reveal Ceballos fee

According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid are set to demand around £44 million in order to agree to the sale of midfielder Dani Ceballos. The 23-year-old has been on loan at Arsenal throughout the course of the current campaign, with the belief now being that the Gunners will have to pay their fourth-highest transfer fee ever in order to keep him on the books.

While Ceballos may have initially made a positive start to life at the Emirates, he’s been a whole lot more inconsistent in recent months. There’s a decent chance that he’ll be given the ‘keys to the castle’ so to speak by Mikel Arteta once football is allowed to return in the form of regular appearances in the starting XI, but of course, that isn’t going to guarantee success.

Real, on the other hand, will know that he’s still quite the commodity, and that letting him go for any cheaper than this could be a mistake.

Bayern step up Sane interest

Bayern Munich have decided to reignite and step up their interest in signing Leroy Sane from Manchester City this summer, according to SportBild.

Their wish to bring the former Schalke winger back to Germany has been known for a long time, and it is widely believed it would have happened last summer had there not been for the crucial ligament rupture he suffered in the Community Shield clash against Liverpool in August. He returned to the pitch with City’s U-23 side at the end of February, but is yet to make his first-team comeback.

Sane was an important part of the City team that won the Premier League title in 2017/18, but Raheem Sterling,  Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez mostly kept him out of the starting XI the following season.

It is believed, as the German outlet reports, that Bayern boss Hans-Dieter Flick held a 30-minute talk over the phone with the 24-year-old, discussing a switch to the Allianz Arena this summer.

Sanchez and Smalling face uncertain futures

Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling are both set to return to Manchester United when their respective loans with Inter Milan and AS Roma expire, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

In a bid to end what was a horrible 18-month spell at Old Trafford, the Chilean forward went to Inter last summer, hoping for a permanent change of scenery once the temporary move was over. However, Di Marzio claims Inter are not interested at all in keeping his services past this summer, having gotten an extremely modest output of one goal in 15 games from the loan. Whether United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decides to give him a chance or tells him to find a new club, remains to be seen.

Like Alexis, Smalling is also set to return to Manchester but for different reasons. Roma do want to keep the 30-year-old defender permanently, but they’ve so far been unable to reach an agreement with United. They are, however, likely to try again.

Manchester United cool Rice interest

According to a recent report from Manchester Evening News, Manchester United’s interest in West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has cooled – despite them being linked with another bid for the Hammers star.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is clearly determined to strengthen their side towards the end of the campaign, with Lyon forward Moussa Dembele being at the top of their wishlist. With that being the case, making a priority out of going after Rice isn’t something that they’re really contemplating right now.

The COVID-19 pandemic has ensured that there is some uncertainty surrounding whether or not the summer transfer window will even be open for business, with a plethora of leagues around the world struggling to figure out what to do with their seasons. Either way, it appears as if United are going to be as active as they possibly can be whenever the window does open, which is a positive boost for their fans at the very least.
